i was just thinking about the jonas brothers! weird!

first of all, yes the jonas brothers sneak attacked stevie wonder. he is a blind man and it is not kind to fool the disabled. second, jonas tirade.

they are shit (fact). example- i read the lyrics to burning up and it sounds like something an incoherent drunk wrote in a poor pickup attempt. they dont actually make sense (get up and dance, dont try and fight it/ big rob is for real and thats no lie) ?????????????

example 2- joe jonas (stupid name alert) is not hot. he is clearly gay. the other two also have some musical talent so i dont know why he is the hot one. kevin jonas is also not the so called ugly brother. hes the hottest one because he has sideburns AND a guitar.

example 3- they do not write their own music. i know thats what they say but its not true. those songs are so radio friendly its sick and no 16 year old comes up with that shit. also, they did not write "year 3000". its by a british boy band called busted but the jonas brothers get away with it because theyre not known in america.

example 4- my name is jonas always pops into my head when i think about the jonas brothers. its a good song and now i associate it with something bad...

h is for haaaaaaay...

fun fact- ive listened to about 30% of the music i own. i have a compulsive cd buying habit, an extensive itunes library thanks to my dads collection, a library of almost 1000 unlistened to indie podcasts, and now im incorporating vinyl... you cant imagine how big this shit is. i have buckets of cds. not boxes buckets. so its pretty exciting when i find something new cos i already own it :) i was listening to my itunes and just left on the "h" artist section and i got 3 new songs...

now i really want to get into husker du. i always thought they were a pothead band for some reason but this is quite good.

2. i can see for miles- hyperhead

this off one of my dads cds. its called who covers who. it is crappish indie bands covering the who. the rest of the albums kind  of apalling though. i believe the term is butcher.

real indie! like 90s garage pop goes soft. i feel like ive heard it before but im pretty sure i havent...?

the grammys suck almost as much as kid rock...

GRAMMY NIGHT!!! i have a lot to say this will probably be my longest blog...

great performances.

-radiohead- they brought in a marching band which sounded surprisingly fabulous against the distorted guitar

-coldplay- lost! started out great as always and then jayz showed up... i feel like the grammys does this every year they have a group or musician playing and then some rapper comes in and ruins the song. its like saying WERE REALLY NOT RACIST HERE ILL SHOW YOU

-robert plant and allison krauss- i did not know they were that good.

-bb king and the other ones- bo diddley tribute. it was nice to hear some actual guitar playing.

-paul mccartney- they let dave grohl play too!

people whos performances sucked and need to go fall down a dark hole.

-kid rock- who the hell buys a kid rock album. how does he make money.

-whatever that thing was with the 4 rappers- mia is pregnant and she was supposed to have her baby tonight. let the girl sing more than one line.

-the jonas brothers and stevie wonder- the jonas brothers looked fucking rediculous making faces and dancing and shouting things like SING IT STEVIE and that poor man could not even see what was going on.

-katy perry- that song will not die.

awards. 

1. coldplay won a few things but they really deserved album of the year. i dont think anyone in the world disliked that album. 

2. why do the grammys nominate albums/songs that arent from this year?

3. in rainbows won something!

4. jason mraz looked very pretty tonight but he was a big loser :(

new song, same riff through the whole song, a bit of spoken word wierdness, irrelevant sound bytes, all together cool.

2. valerie- the zutons

older song, indie but could be on the radio, like lenny kravitz guitars/the feeling vocals, not thaaat good, 7 out of 10.

when i grow up i want a husband to make indie music with...

i have 2 new indie songs...

1. nice fox- the rosebuds

the rosebuds are a married couple and i must say theyre pretty cute. i saw a photo essay on them in an indie magazine and it was so beautiful. i kept one picture of them under a tree in the dark staring blankly. good song.

2. light powered- deastro

this is a really funky instrumental that sounds like it could have been made on garageband. like riff after riff after riff. i can tell it will be used in a car commercial within a month.
