shes not that kind of a girl BOOGER... i couldnt help it

new indie today
1. computer camp love- datarock... this is really funny. theres a lot of lines i could and should quote right now but ill let you find them yourself. i highly recommend it.
2. language city- wolf parade... so good. swingy.
3. 1901- phoenix... this is everywhere so you know it already. its catchy.
4. PSA. everyone should buy the new decemberists cd and listen to it from start to finish. digital music does not do it justice. it is so perfect with little riffs and words that show up in each song. like an opera. theyre such a unique band. the hazards of love has become one of my favorite albums of all time. i usually only buy used cds but this was $19 well spent. its like an hour of really well written music.
5. and everyone should go buy a cd. i hate seeing places like fye and borders being the only places that still sell them and even they are going out of business. fuck itunes.

wee blanket now owns the beatles catalog. oh.

ok lots to say... michael jackson is dead, you knew that. personally i havent suffered an ounce of sadness. he belonged in jail and im not a fan of his music. pop bores me. in more important news i have a new favorite song of the moment. its called ancestors by throw me the statue. jesus its good. in other really good news ive been getting lots of free (legal) music lately from amazon.com. btw im really against the whole pirated music thing. so on amazon a bunch of indie labels like barsuk and subpop put out free samplers so i can download them! theres a page of all the free music available on amazon with like 800 songs and im addicted. i even got old jazz from the 50s. itunes sucks in comparison (or just in general). bob mould is a very cool dude. he should be played on the peak because he sounds like a peak person. he was in some famous band i cant remember and now hes bald and does solo albums that are awesome. purevolume.com has turned completely emo and is now usesless. emo is like my least favorite maybe tied with pop. again, it bores me. they all sound the same. and ive noticed that people dont really know what an emo band is and isnt. emo isnt just the slit your wrists kind of stuff its a style of music. not lyrics. and it was so funny when panic at the disco denied being an emo band. hellooooooooooo fueled by ramen? pretty major in 2000s emo, whether you dress like sgt pepper or not. ***weezers "emo" album pinkerton does not suck***
